Josephine is an experienced Executive Coach and Change Consultant. She has vast experience in leadership and organisational change, being skilled in redesigning jobs, teams and organisations, and executing on change required to align mindsets and behaviours. With a Ph.D. in Organisational Psychology and a publication record in areas of organisational development, action research, change, coaching, and leadership, Josephine is an expert in the transformation of people business systems, capabilities, and cultures. 

Josephine has held various leadership roles in both public and private sector organisations, contributing her insights as an academic and researcher, to challenges of organisational design and development, capability development, process improvement, and change management. As an academic in the School of Psychology at Deakin University, Josephine was one of the founding staff members of the Master in Organisational Psychology, teaching and researching in the areas of organisational development, leadership capability, motivation and coaching. In 2019, she led transformative efforts in business improvement and IT systems change, overseeing a large-scale SAP transformation for Orica Manufacturing and driving agile transformation in teams at Telstra IT. Her initiatives resulted in increased team trust and clarity across a spectrum of 3000 staff members. She has since developed capability and learning roadmaps for organisations such as The Song Room, Mattel APAC, and various Victorian government departments in education, health, and environmental protection. 

Key highlights of Josephine’s relevant work experience include:

Working with numerous local and state government departmental leadership teams on leadership development, strategy development, cultural change and business planning (e.g. Department of Higher Education, Department of Early Childhood Education, Department of Health, Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions, City of Casey, City of Manningham, Brimbank City Council.)

Leading teams across diverse functions at Telstra Operations to increase collaboration for improved customer advocacy outcomes. This included bringing teams across a value chain together in a development program and a series of sprints to increase speed and quality of delivery.

Over a five-year period, leading the design and delivery of the leadership capability program for 450 senior leaders of Telstra Operations. This included developing a program of experiential and formal learning experiences for senior leaders to uplift leader’s capability in strategy execution,  leading change, and customer advocacy across functional.

National-level engagements in the Middle East, where she spent several years as a Quality Enhancement Consultant with the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Health in the Sultanate of Oman. Her work involved leading national capability assessment and learning programs, leaving a lasting impact that continues to be referenced today.
